Join us at Amare Gym on Wednesday, Jan. 19!

This Wednesday, January 19, the Amare Gym will open its doors one time only! You are welcome between 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. for a "sporty" afternoon.

programme
On Wednesday afternoons, Amare transforms briefly into a gym. And what's a sports afternoon without performances? At the Amare Gym, you will be treated to several "work-outs" from the Residentie Orkest to the music of the Boléro. A number of ensembles, made up of students from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, will play between the work-outs. You can come participate and, of course, just watch.

Precautions
Everyone is welcome to walk in during this sporting afternoon. We will open the space on the first floor of Amare according to the Last precautions, which have also previously been proven safe in a theater. So please follow the corona rules with us inside: show your corona access card, keep 1.5 meters distance and wear a face mask inside, even when sitting on the Tribune stairs.

Why are we supporting this initiative?
On
Wednesday, January 19, museums and theaters around the country and also in The Hague are sounding the alarm. While artists can again make art, dance, sing, play and paint, the public is not yet allowed to know about it. We join this national action in which theaters are temporarily converted into hair salons or gyms. The appeal by the cabaret artist Sanne Wallis de Vries is thus widely heard.

Like sports and exercise, this highlights the great importance of arts and culture to give perspective during the corona crisis. We cannot wait for the arts to become visible and audible again for the public as well. Let's make culture accessible to everyone again soon!
