During the weekend of January 16-18, 2026, the Residentie Orkest will welcome Residentie Orkest special guest during the concert with singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright: actress and singer Carice van Houten. She will play a unique role in the concerts in The Hague, Utrecht, and Eindhoven. 

Carice van Houten will recite the five Shakespeare sonnets that soprano Danielle de Niese will perform in Wainwright'simpressive Five Shakespeare Sonnets. She will also perform alongside De Niese inUnperfect Actor,a composition based on a Shakespeare sonnet and an existing song by Rufus Wainwright, which has been speciallyarrangedfor the Residentie Orkest and will receive its world premiere in a new orchestral version on this evening. As if that weren't enough, Carice will also perform several songs with Rufus Wainwright at the piano.
