Amare Gym: Swinging into action!

Wednesday, January 19, Amare was temporarily transformed into a gym: Amare Gym! With this we joined the action #Hair SalonTheater. Together with many other cultural institutions, we used this action to draw attention to the dire situation of the cultural sector during the corona pandemic.

On the first floor of Amare, students from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague Gym visitors into different styles of music. The live music gave visitors the energy they needed for a rhythmic work-out that followed. To music from the Boléro played by our musicians, the avid athletes got a work-out led by Meike Portegies.

The togetherness and love of culture could be felt throughout the building. Something special took place on the first floor. Something that showed the resilience, creativity and necessity of the cultural sector.
We are proud of all the participating theaters and concert halls and the collective impact of this action!
