Malmö Academy of Music with Jens Bjørn-Larsen and Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with Anne Jelle Visser.
I like to listen to Mozart and play Rachmaninov.
I play three different tubas in the orchestra; a Melton 4260 F tuba, which the orchestra was able to arrange for me thanks to the help of the Friends of the Residentie Orkest, a Melton 197/2 Bb tuba and a B&S MrP-C C tuba.
I come from Sweden, where I started playing the tenor tuba at the age of nine. Later I switched to the bass tuba and decided to pursue a career in music. In addition to my work in the Residentie Orkest , I also play regularly in orchestras in the Netherlands, Sweden and Belgium. I also teach tuba at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
Before coming to the Netherlands, I played tuba in the Royal Swedish Marine Band in Karlskrona, Sweden.
What do I like to listen to?
Second movement from Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 2 - This movement is just very beautiful and touching.
First movement from Rachmaninov's Symphony No. 2 - One of the most enjoyable pieces I have played in Residentie Orkest with a very special and lyrical tuba part.
First movement from Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 4 - There is nothing more soothing than listening to a Mozart piano concerto.
