Unfortunately, this concert has already taken place. But not to worry! We will be playing many more concerts soon.

In early 2020, Jameszoo gained access to Slagwerk Den Haag their expertise and the huge candy store of instruments in their studio. The "naive computer jazz" with which Jameszoo has taken the world by storm (with unconditional support from Brainfeeder) in recent years makes him an ideal partner to explore and stretch genre boundaries together. A concert with (new) music by Jameszoo in a Slagwerk Den Haag setting! On stage Jameszoo and Slagwerk Den Haag will be joined by a string quartet from Het Residentie Orkest.

Slagwerk Den Haag
Founded in 1977, Slagwerk Den Haag is a multi-disciplinary collective whose free interpretation has already attracted worldwide attention. Whether it is on 'traditional' percussion instruments or on horse jaws and glass instruments. Either way, the collective makes it a performance to knock your socks off.

Jameszoo
Formerly, Mitchel van Dinther (as Jameszoo is actually called) was a gifted taekwondoka. When an injury threw a spanner in the works, the athlete changed missions and traded the dojo for the turntable. When the DJ was allowed to study at the Red Bull Music Academy in New York in 2013, he met the people behind Flying Lotus, including bassist Thundercat, and Jameszoo developed into one of the most exciting new jazz artists of the moment. With his naive computer jazz, the musician manages to renew himself time and again.
