A surprising concert in the Nieuwe Kerk with a starring role for our second violinists, supplemented by a number of other colleagues from the Residentie Orkest. They bring an ode to the seasons of life.
Almost everyone knows "The Four Seasons" by Vivaldi. But there are more composers who were inspired by the seasons, such as Piazzolla and Tchaikovsky and the rarely heard Giovanni Antonio Guido. How do they experience the seasons and what does Italian spring or Russian autumn sound like? A program about the passing of the seasons in all its facets.
