Prinsjesdag Concert
Sold Out
Unfortunately, this concert has already taken place. But not to worry! We will be playing many more concerts soon.
A new era has begun: the Prinsjesdag Concert marks a new beginning for the Residentie Orkest with brand new chief conductor Anja Bihlmaier and the new Concert Hall in Amare. Young composer Thomas van Dun outlines this era musically with a brand new work, written from his Hague roots.
Anja is joined in her first official concert by artist in residence and top violinist Simone Lamsma and Johannes Moser, one of today's best cellists. Together they can be heard in Brahms' Double Concerto and Anja takes us on a journey through Galanta, present-day Slovakia. In his masterpiece "Dances from Galanta," Kodály incorporated Hungarian sounds from the past and traditional gypsy dance music.
The Prinsjesdag Concert will be broadcast live on NPO Radio 4 from 8 p.m. on September 21.
