Residentie Orkest at Theater Orpheus
New Year's Concert
Unfortunately, this concert has already taken place. But not to worry! We will be playing many more concerts soon.
Fireworks, oliebollen and champagne. To appropriately usher in the New Year, we celebrate with the Residentie Orkest a grand, spectacular party on stage. Exuberantly, as the Americans do. To this end, conductor Andrew Grams, a beloved guest with our orchestra, brings great repertoire from America, with works by Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin and Aaron Copland.
The work of these American composers is known for its versatility and embracing progress, new musical styles and entertainment. Entertainment, but with deepened classical knowledge and skill of music in which they do not shy away from forays into musicals, jazz and the wild west. To this end, guest conductor Grams brings his upbeat energy and eclectic background. He meets world-renowned pianist Yeol Eum Son in Theater Orpheus' Hanos Hall, who helps spark your imagination with phenomenal piano playing. A wonderful beginning to 2023.
