Bach's account of the crucifixion of Christ is one of the most important and intense musical documents in Western cultural history. In the weeks before Easter, it is performed all over the country. 

This year, for the Matthäus, we are collaborating for the first time with Peter Dijkstra, chief conductor of the Netherlands Chamber Choir and one of the most distinguished choral conductors of our time. Thus Dijkstra continues the Matthäus tradition. We also work with a host of exceptional soloists, the Hague Matrozen Choir and Dijkstra's own Netherlands Chamber Choir.
