Woodstock in AMARE
Symphonic Junction XL:
Supersister Projekt ft. Residentie Orkest

Unfortunately, this concert has already taken place. But not to worry! We will be playing many more concerts soon.
Note: This show is in Amare
Say The Hague, you say underground. Fifty years ago, a number of students from the Grotius Lyceum decided to immerse themselves in the experimental schwung that was in the air. Supersister's broad development is thus inextricably linked to the development of The Hague as a city of music. Consequently, the group was one of the first to play at the newly founded Paard van Troje in 1972. Later, musical leader Robert Jan Stips also worked with Golden Earring, Sweet d'Buster, Gruppo Sportivo, Freek de Jonge and, of course, NITS, among others. On February 8, 2024, large parts of this extraordinary story can be heard in Amare with the Residentie Orkest conducted by Hans Leenders at the special request of the pop temple!
Think progressive pop, jazz influences, swinging runs and the occasional funny Zappa twist. This evening, together with the current lineup of this legendary band, we not only bring Dutch Woodstock atmospheres back to Amare, but also follow the development of Supersister music through original and new orchestral arrangements written especially for this occasion.
