Unfortunately, this concert has already taken place. But not to worry! We will be playing many more concerts soon.

From Hague schoolboys to psychedelic rock stars. The Hague band Supersister has been making music history in the residence since 1968. Think progressive pop, jazz influences, swinging runs and the occasional funny Zappa twist. Tonight, together with the current lineup of this legendary band, we not only bring Dutch Woodstock atmospheres back to the Paard, but also follow the development of Supersister music through original and new orchestral arrangements written especially for this occasion.

Say The Hague, you say underground. Fifty years ago, a number of students from the Grotius Lyceum decided to immerse themselves in the experimental schwung that was in the air. The broad development of Supersister, which you can't just find on Spotify, is thus inextricably linked to the development of The Hague as a city of music. Consequently, the group was one of the first to play at the newly founded Paard van Troje in 1972. Later, musical leader Robert Jan Stips also worked with Golden Earring, Sweet d'Buster, Gruppo Sportivo, Freek de Jonge and, of course, NITS, among others. Tonight, by special request of the pop temple, large parts of this extraordinary story can be heard in Paard with the Residentie Orkest conducted by Hans Leenders!
