Amare Concert Hall, The Hague
€ 23,-
Conductor: Anja Bihlmaier
Piano: Yeol Eum Son
Unfortunately, this concert has already taken place. But not to worry! We will be playing many more concerts soon.

Immerse yourself in symphonic music tonight, with one shot of Mozart and one shot of Mendelssohn. During RO NOW you will be introduced to masterpieces and give your weekend a special twist. Each edition, the conductor briefly tells you more about the piece for a deeper musical experience.  Tonight is dedicated to two 'Wunderkinder' – the classical child stars Mozart and Mendelssohn.

Pianist Yeol Eum Son is known for her scintillating Mozart interpretations. Piano Concerto No. 20 is one of the most dramatic works by the Viennese master and definitely in good hands with this soloist. Her playing teaches you that piano keys can take your breath away.
Mendelssohn wrote the First Symphony when he was only fifteen years old (and he had already written about twelve string symphonies). The work is deeply romantic, and one of the great loves of our chief conductor Anja Bihlmaier. A great way to get to know the classical masters!

RO NOW opens your ears, broadens your view and deepens your taste. On this evening you will immerse yourself in the classics. A short and sweet concert gives you a shot of symphonic. In a brief introduction, the conductor explains what makes this cello solo special, why the composer insisted on this excursion, how exactly this passage changed everything. An experience that gives your weekend a special twist. Without a break, but with a drink and DJ afterwards.
