Unfortunately, this concert has already taken place. But not to worry! We will be playing many more concerts soon.

Three young people caught up in a life-and-death struggle but where love ultimately conquers all.

These are the ingredients of the opera Die Zauberflöte, one of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Last masterpieces. An absolute must-see packed with world-famous arias such as that of the Queen of the Night.

Although more than two hundred years old, Die Zauberflöte is still hugely popular and incredibly topical. In this new production, developed especially for the young singers of the Dutch National Opera Academy, an international creative team explores themes such as coming of age and all the challenges involved.

About the opera
On Sept. 30, 1791, Mozart's opera Die Zauberflöte premiered at the no longer existing Freihaus-Theater auf der Wieden in Vienna. Since then, the work has become one of his most beloved and frequently performed operas. The allegorical plot, which revolves around the initiation of Prince Tamino, reflects Mozart's and Schikaned's interest in freemasonry.
